3 Which of your personal data do we use?
We process personal data that we receive from our customers, suppliers, or other data subjects in the course of our business relationship. Furthermore, to the extent necessary for our business relationship, we process personal data that we lawfully obtain from publicly available sources or that is lawfully transferred to us by other companies within the TER Group or by other third parties. In addition, we process your personal data, among other things, to comply with legal obligations, to protect a legitimate interest, or based on consent you have provided.
Depending on the legal basis, this involves the following categories of personal data:
- First name, last name
- Address
- Contact information (phone number, email address)
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Contract master data, in particular contract number, term, notice period, type of contract
- Billing data/sales data

5 For what purposes do we process your data, and on what legal basis?
We process your personal data in accordance with, in particular, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), as well as all other applicable laws.
5.1 Based on the consent you have provided (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 26(2) BDSG)

7 Is your data transferred to countries outside the European Union (so-called third countries)?

8 How long will my data be stored?
We store your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfill our legal and contractual obligations.
If storing the data is no longer necessary to fulfill contractual or legal obligations, your data will be deleted, unless further processing is required for the following purposes:
- Compliance with commercial and tax law retention requirements. These include retention periods specified in the German Commercial Code (HGB) or the German Fiscal Code (AO). The retention periods may be up to 10 years.
- Preservation of evidence within the framework of statutory statutes of limitations. According to the statute of limitations provisions of the German Civil Code (BGB), these limitation periods may in some cases be up to 30 years; the standard limitation period is three years.
- Your application data will be deleted 6 months after the application process is completed. If longer storage is necessary, we will ask for your written consent.
9 What rights do you have regarding the processing of your data?
Every data subject has the right of access under Article 15 of the GDPR, the right to rectification under Article 16 of the GDPR, the right to erasure under Article 17 of the GDPR, the right to restriction of processing under Article 18 of the GDPR, the right to object under Article 21 of the GDPR, and the right to data portability under Article 20 of the GDPR. With regard to the right of access and the right to erasure, the restrictions set forth in Sections 34 and 35 of the BDSG apply.
9.1 Right to Object
You may object to the use of your data for advertising purposes at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the standard rates.
